Tamika Lamison is an award winning writer, director, and producer.
She graduated from American University with a BA in Performing Arts. She worked successfully in NYC as an actor before turning her attention behind the scenes. Tamika's first screenplay, “Jar By the Door” was a Sundance Finalist and won several awards including the Gordon Parks Independent Film Award and 10k. Other awards include the ABC/Walt Disney Fellowship in screenwriting, Guy Hanks, and Marvin Miller (Cosby) Fellowship, AFI's Directing Workshop for Women Fellowship and the Irvine Film Festival's Philanthropic Award.
Tamika has written, directed and/or produced many award-winning films including, HOPE, SPIN and The Male Groupie. She has also worked as a Director and Camera Operator for the BET show, “College Hill.” She is passionate about service and making a difference with film. She mentors, teaches, and volunteers regularly.
Recently she worked at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences helping to develop an Inclusion program and currently works as the Program Director for CDDP- Commercial Directors Diversity Program.
